We've gathered here every question people ask before their first AcroYoga class, from “Do I need experience?” to “What should I wear?” If a question is still unanswered, just message us on WhatsApp and we'll be happy to help.
AcroYoga, AcroDance or Flexibility & Mobility: which fits me?
Our three worlds meet in one body, but each answers a different need. This short comparison will help you choose a starting point:
| AcroYoga | AcroDance | Flexibility & Mobility | |
|---|---|---|---|
| In short | A partner practice of lifts and trust: base, flyer and spotter | Acrobatics meets dance: lifts, dips and choreographed sequences | Training for range of motion, strength through range and control: Linoy Bibi's method |
| Best suited for… | Beginners, couples, team building: anyone who wants to fly for the first time | Dancers, couples before a wedding, anyone who wants a wow on the dance floor | Dancers, athletes and anyone who feels “stuck”: splits, bridge, shoulders and hips |
| Experience needed? | No: you start from zero | No: even with no dance background | No: the training is built around your range |

What's the difference between AcroYoga, AcroDance and Flexibility & Mobility?
AcroYoga is a partner practice of lifts and trust (base, flyer and spotter), and it's the best starting point for beginners and couples. AcroDance connects acrobatics to dance: lifts, dips and choreographed sequences, including lifts for a wedding dance. Flexibility & Mobility, led by Linoy Bibi, is training for range of motion, strength and control, for the splits, the bridge and open shoulders. None of the three requires previous experience, and you can combine them.
What is AcroYoga?
AcroYoga is a combination of acrobatics, yoga and trust work between two people. One person lies on their back and supports with their legs and hands (the base), and the other flies above them (the flyer), with a third person keeping everyone safe. The result is a playful, human practice full of laughter that connects people through movement and safe touch. Want to go deeper? We have a page that explains what AcroYoga is in depth.
Do I need previous experience?
Not at all. Most people who come to us have never tried AcroYoga, and this is exactly the right place to start. We begin from the basics and build step by step, so even with no background you'll feel comfortable from the very first class. If you'd like to start on the right foot, we have a whole page on AcroYoga for beginners.
Do I need to be flexible or strong?
You don't need to be especially flexible or strong. AcroYoga relies far more on technique, body alignment and communication than on strength. When the structure is right, the base carries the flyer with their legs and skeleton rather than with “power”. Flexibility and strength do improve over time, but they are a result of the practice, not an entry requirement.
Is it safe? How do you keep everyone safe?
Yes, when practiced properly it is very safe. We always work with a spotter who accompanies every lift, we progress gradually from easy to hard, and we don't jump into risky exercises before the basics are stable. We also teach how to communicate, how to come down safely and when to stop. Safety with us isn't a nice slogan; it's part of every exercise.
What should I wear to class?
Comfortable sportswear you can move freely in, preferably fairly fitted: leggings or shorts and a top that doesn't ride up when you're upside down. It's best to avoid zippers, buckles or prominent jewelry that could get in the way during contact. We practice barefoot, so you don't need shoes. Bring a water bottle too.
Can I come alone without a partner?
In group classes, absolutely. Most people come alone, and we pair up participants and swap partners during the class. It's one of the most fun ways to meet new people. AcroYoga is a group practice at heart, so even if you came alone, you won't stay alone. In a private lesson you can come alone or as a pair, and the couples workshop is designed for two.
How many people are in a class?
It depends on the type of class. Open classes are usually a small to medium group that allows personal attention. For events and team-building days we also work with larger groups and adjust the number of instructors accordingly. Want to know what suits you? Message us on WhatsApp.
Is it suitable for couples?
Very much so. AcroYoga for couples is a great way to build trust, wordless communication and a lot of shared laughter. You don't need to be at the same fitness level or the same weight; we adapt the exercises to every couple. We have a dedicated page for the AcroYoga workshop for couples with all the details.
What age can you start?
AcroYoga suits adults and teens, and families as well, with adjustments. The real requirement is the ability to listen, communicate and cooperate, not a particular age. If you're unsure about a very young or a much older participant, just message us and we'll be happy to adapt.
I'm not fit. Is this for me?
Yes, even if you feel far from fit. AcroYoga isn't a competitive sport or a test; it's a gradual practice that adapts to you. You start with simple exercises on the ground and progress at your own pace. Many people discover they can do much more than they thought, and that it's a fun way to start moving.
Where do classes take place?
Our base is at 185 Dizengoff St, Tel Aviv; the exact location is confirmed when you book. Depending on the type of class or activity, some sessions also take place at other locations in Tel Aviv and the center of Israel, and for events we come to you anywhere in the country.
What's the difference between AcroYoga and AcroDance?
Both involve lifts and partner movement, but the emphasis is different. AcroYoga grows out of the world of yoga and play and emphasizes trust, breath, body alignment and calm flow. AcroDance tends to be more dynamic, rhythmic and choreographed, with a performance feel. With us you'll mostly find the spirit of AcroYoga: human, playful and accessible.
How much does a class cost?
The price varies by type of activity: an open class, a series of classes, a private lesson or a workshop for an event. To give you an exact price that fits you, we arrange it personally on WhatsApp. Tell us what you're looking for and we'll get back to you with all the details.
How do I book a class?
The simplest way is WhatsApp. Send us a message, tell us whether you're a beginner or experienced and what interests you (an open class, a couples class, a private lesson or an event), and we'll get back to you with dates, location and details. No complicated forms and no commitment up front.
Can you run a workshop for an event or team building?
Sure. AcroYoga is an excellent team-building activity because it requires exactly what a good team needs: communication, trust and cooperation. We come to you with all the equipment and adapt the workshop to the group and the goal. All the details are on the page AcroYoga workshops for events and team building.
