Think AcroYoga is only for flexible acrobats with six-packs? Almost everyone who practices AcroYoga today started from exactly the same place: zero experience. You don't need to be strong, flexible or "sporty". You just need to show up, listen, and let yourself begin with the basics.
In short: beginner AcroYoga classes in Tel Aviv, with no previous experience and no partner needed. We pair you up in class. A session runs 60–90 minutes, with close guidance from three experienced instructors. You join with a single WhatsApp message.
Do I need experience, strength or flexibility?
The short answer: no, no, and no. These are the three most common myths that keep people away from AcroYoga, and none of them is true.
- Previous experience — completely unnecessary. The beginner classes assume it's your first time.
- Strength — no weightlifting required. Most of the first exercises are based on balance and technique, not muscle.
- Flexibility — you don't need to touch the floor with your palms. Flexibility comes gradually, not before.
Strength, flexibility and body confidence build as you go, at your own pace. We start from where you are, and it's perfectly fine to start small.
What do you learn in the first class?
The first class is designed to be gentle, so you feel comfortable and succeed on day one. Here's what to expect:
- The roles: base and flyer — the base (Base) lies down and supports from below, the flyer (Flyer) goes up. You understand how each role works and switch between them.
- First foundation poses — the classic first pose ("Bird") and a few more basic exercises that give you a feeling of success from the very first moment.
- Spotting — how to secure your partner and keep them safe, so everyone is protected all the way through.
- Simple transitions — easy links from pose to pose that start to feel like real flow.
Safety
AcroYoga is safe when it's done right, and that's exactly our job. Safety doesn't come at the expense of fun. It's what makes the fun possible:
- Close spotting — in the early stages there is always someone spotting and securing, so nobody is "hanging in the air" alone.
- Gradual progression — you move up a level only when the foundations are steady. No risky jumps and no pressure to keep up.
- Listening to your body — you set the pace. You stop when you need to, rest when you need to, and move forward when you feel ready.
The result is a safe, supportive setting where you're allowed to experiment, allowed to fall gently, and above all, allowed to enjoy yourself without fear.
Acrobatics for beginners, not only yoga
Despite the name, AcroYoga is much more than yoga. It combines acrobatics for beginners, partner work and movement, without the demanding requirements of classic acrobatics. If you've always been curious about acrobatics and movement but felt it was "not for you", this is a perfect way in: all of that ability, without having to get there on your own.
